Jan-Steven Merson is the President and CEO of Merson & Associates Inc., sole proprietor of Merson & Associates Threat Protection Group (Las Vegas, Nevada) and of American Firearms & Security Training center in California. BACKGROUND AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Jan-Steven Merson retired as a California State Peace Officer with over two decades of experience in City, State, County and security-related fields. Jan is an active member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators, Fraternal Order of Police; California Correctional Peace Officers Association; American Society for Industrial Security; International Foundation for Protection Officers; and California Association of Licensed Security Agency Guards & Associations (CALSAGA) Jan has been a licensed Private Investigator since 1996 and Private Patrol operator since 2001 and is a Department of Consumer Affairs Bureau of Security & Investigations Instructor for Security Guard training. In addition, he is a Red Cross First Aid & CPR/AED instructor, a firearms instructor and non-lethal weapons trainer.
